The National Theatre commissioned me to design the programme for 'Dear England' – a play that celebrates football as an institution, '30 years of hurt' and 'being the underdog' as inextricably linked with our national identity. I used bold headings undercut with handwritten script to reference tactics and scribbles on whiteboards during half time, and even designed the cast headshots into their very own 90s-inspired football stickers.
