After the success of the Summer Season's redesigned print programmes, Shakespeare's Globe approached me to design a further five for their moody Winter Season, based in the iconic Sam Wanamaker Theatre. Exploring the detailed and evocative show artwork, I honed in on details of the delicate photography throughout the season, using the programmes as vehicles to explore the symbolism and hidden within the rich still life tableaus.
The project involved layout, typesetting, picture research and graphic design. A personal highlight was the designing of the programme for Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank's 'The Tempest', which allowed me more freedom to develop an inspiring and educational programme for young people as they encountered Shakespeare on stage for the first time.
