A festival that takes inspiration from Ovid’s epic and extraordinary poem ‘Metamorphoses’, or ‘Book of Transformations’, which sees humans transformed into everything from stars and stones to streams and flowers.
The identity incorporates photography from Karl Blossfeldt’s 1928 ‘Urformen der Kunst’ (‘Art Forms in Plants’), which aimed to teach students about the remarkable patterns and designs found in natural forms. The result is an examination of the darkness and wildness present in both nature and humanity – this festival is a space that encourages us to morph and change.
